State of Idaho Graduation Requirements

To receive a high school diploma of graduation a student must complete a minimum number of credits as determined by the Idaho State Board of Education. The number of credits required for each subject area is listed below:

 English  8 credits
 Mathematics   6 credits
 Science  6 credits
 US History   2 credits
 American Government  2 credits
 Economics  1 credit
 Humanities  2 credits
 Health  1 credits
 Speech  1 credits
 Electives  16 credits
Senior Project  1 credit

College Enterance Exam: All students will need to take a college entrance exam to meet the Idaho State Department of Education graduation requirement. The SAT will be offered through Lincoln High School for students during their junior year free of charge. If a student chooses to take a college entrance exam on their own they will need to pay for the cost of the exam. College entrance exams that can be taken are; ACT, SAT, Accuplacer and the Compass.

Idaho Standard Achievement Test (ISAT): Pass the ISAT with a score of Proficient or Advanced in Reading, Math and Language Usage. Passing scores are set by the Idaho Board of Education.
